The Dress

The Dress

Being a man I never wore the dress, but having many friends that are girls and sisters and a wife I do remember being around them when choosing THE DRESS! Some had their dress chosen before they had boyfriends and some ran out the month before the wedding and bought the first dress that fit. My mother made her own dress and finished it the night before the wedding, it was a simple high collar long sleeve white dress made of the finest polyester material available in 1974. The style of it was very popular in the 70’s. Today you would think it is ugly but my parents have been happily married for 37 years. Really it just proves that it does not matter what you get married in… On that note I still believe that a woman should take pride in what she wears on her wedding day. I have a few suggestions…

1. 1. Make sure it fits… I mean really fits. No one care what size your dress is on the day of your wedding but if it is too tight or two lose people will talk.

2. 2. Showing too much skin on your wedding day is a bad idea… save it for the wedding night.

3. 3.Sometimes a dress style is not the best for you… I will leave it at that…

In the beginning…

I have been told by a few people that I needed to start a blog about weddings. All different kinds… So here I am starting a blog. First I think I should tell you a little about myself. I am an Interior Designer by profession working mostly in the residential world. My wife and I have been married for five years and we have a very active but sweet four year old boy. From the time I was little I have had a little obsession with weddings, every part of them. My sister tells me I should have been an event planner but when it came down to going to school it was really not an option so instead, for now, I will blog about them.

Here are a few pics that grabbed my attention some I think are really well done, others I think have potential.
